Minister Tunç responds to 'amnesty' claims
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a statement regarding claims that there will be an amnesty regulation.
Speaking at the Judicial Year Opening ceremony of the Court of Cassation, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç said, "We do not have any regulation that would amount to an amnesty."
Announcing that a draft study is being prepared regarding a legal amendment concerning children driven to crime, Minister Tunç stated, "We are working on reducing the sentence reduction as age increases."
Responding to the remarks of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Tunç said, "There is absolutely no dual legal system in Turkey. There is constitutional law in Turkey. We do not accept these criticisms."
