Minister Uraloğlu: Airspace restrictions in the region continue
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the airspace restrictions in the region, which began following Israel's attacks on Iran on June 13, remain in effect.
Minister Uraloğlu stated in a post on his social media account:
"Following the attacks by Israel on Iran that began on June 13, 2025, airspace restrictions in the region continue. As of June 24, the current situation is as follows:
The Iran-Tehran flight zone is closed to flights until 10:30 on June 25, and the Israel-Tel Aviv flight zone is closed to flights until 03:59 on June 25.
Two aircraft belonging to our airline operator, Turkish Airlines, were recalled and diverted to Istanbul, and flights to Kuwait, Dammam, Bahrain, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Muscat have been canceled. Due to the closure of Omani airspace, two flights departing from Jakarta and Denpasar were diverted to Baku and continued to Istanbul after refueling. As of now, flights to the Gulf region have returned to normal; however, flights to Iran, Iraq, and Syria remain canceled.
Ajet's flights to Dubai, Dammam, and Sharjah,
SunExpress's flights to Dubai, Beirut, and Erbil,
Pegasus's flights to Bahrain, Jeddah, Medina, Riyadh, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Muscat, and Karachi have been canceled.
There are no aircraft or personnel on duty belonging to BBN, ACT, MGA, MNG, Freebird, Airanka, ULS, Southwind, and Corendon operating in the region. Operations are being maintained through planned cancellations and route changes.
Our Ministry and all relevant institutions are closely monitoring developments and continue to take all necessary measures for travel safety and flight security," he said.
