Minister Uraloğlu responds to trade allegations with Israel

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu responded to allegations made by Saadet Party MP Mehmet Atmaca regarding trade with Israel during the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Planning and Budget Committee meeting.

Minister Uraloğlu responds to trade allegations with Israel

During the deliberations on the 2025 budget of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee, Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu answered questions from members of parliament. 

Addressing the allegations by Saadet Party Bursa MP Mehmet Atmaca that trade with Israel is continuing, Uraloğlu stated that Turkey has maintained a clear stance on this issue.

Uraloğlu said, "I recommend that you take into account the information specifically shared by the Palestinian Minister of Economy. Code 624 is for exports to Israel. Code 625 is for exports to Palestine. I would like to emphasize once again that we do not permit any products under the 624 code."

MINISTRY OF TRADE HAD PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED

Minister Uraloğlu also reminded that Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat had previously made the necessary statements regarding the matter. Evaluating the situation through the relevant export codes, Uraloğlu stated that Turkey prioritizes Palestine in its trade activities.

According to the statement on the ministry's official website, it was reiterated once again that the allegations regarding Turkey's exports to Israel do not reflect the truth.

EMPHASIS ON SUPPORT FOR PALESTINE

In his speech, Minister Uraloğlu also drew attention to Turkey's sensitivity regarding the Palestinian issue. Stating that there are no obstacles to exports to Palestine, Uraloğlu expressed that actions in this regard are being carried out in accordance with international law.
