Minister Uraloğlu: "We will approve the App-Based Taxi Transportation System"
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has announced that the 'App-Based Taxi Transportation System' will be approved to resolve the taxi problem faced by citizens living in Istanbul.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated in a post on his social media account: "As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we will approve the App-Based Taxi Transportation System to resolve the taxi problem that has been the subject of complaints from our citizens living in Istanbul.
We hereby inform the public that, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and its affiliated institutions, which have voting rights, we will provide a favorable opinion regarding the proposal on the agenda at tomorrow's UKOME meeting concerning the establishment of the new taxi system, which will begin with 2,500 vehicles.
We hope that this step we have taken to solve the taxi problem will be beneficial for our Istanbul."
