Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the Çember-7 operations, which were carried out across 81 provinces targeting wanted individuals, on his social media account.
Yerlikaya stated the following:
"In the 'Çember-7 Operations' carried out simultaneously in 81 provinces with 24,483 personnel across 4,158 residences and 4,348 locations targeting 'Wanted Individuals,' 1,034 fugitives with active arrest warrants were captured.
We will never allow fugitive criminals to roam our streets. We have not allowed them to disturb the peace of our families, and we will not do so!
Among the captured individuals: 450 people wanted with prison sentences of up to 2 years, 324 people wanted with prison sentences of up to 5 years, 164 people wanted with prison sentences of up to 10 years, 76 people wanted with prison sentences of up to 20 years, and 20 people wanted with prison sentences of 20 years or more, totaling 1,034 people captured."
