Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced that 2 more crime organization leaders wanted by Interpol with Red Notices were captured in Istanbul as part of the Kafes-20 operations.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 2 more crime organization leaders have been captured as part of the Kafes operations.
Yerlikaya's statements are as follows:
"British national MOHAMMED ZAKIR MIAH, who was wanted with an Interpol Red Notice and organized drug distribution across Belgium, was captured in Istanbul's Büyükçekmece district, and Chinese national CHEN XUEFENG, who was wanted with an Interpol Red Notice for the crime of grievous bodily harm in Vietnam, was captured in Istanbul's Bağcılar district during the 'KAFES-20' operations.
Mohammed Zakir Miah, for whom an Interpol Red Notice was issued, was apprehended in Büyükçekmece, and Chen Xuefeng was apprehended in Bağcılar during the Kafes-20 operations. The extradition procedures for Chen Xuefeng to Vietnam have been completed. I congratulate our heroic police officers who carried out the operation. May God protect them. The prayers of our nation are with you. We are determined to cleanse our country of national and international organized crime groups and drug traffickers."
