Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the details of the Bozdoğan-41 operations in a post on X.
Yerlikaya stated the following:
"In the 'BOZDOĞAN-41' operation carried out by the Gendarmerie against the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ) in the rural area of Başkale, Van; 3 terrorists were neutralized!
One of the terrorists is İlyas Ayaz, codenamed Demhat Şero Welat, who was at the so-called leadership level in the rural area of Başkale. Efforts to identify the other two terrorists and determine the actions they participated in are ongoing..."
