Minister Yerlikaya announces: Arms smuggling operation in 74 provinces

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the Mercek-17 operations conducted across 74 provinces on X.

Yerlikaya stated the following:

"The 'MERCEK-17' operations, which have been ongoing for 4 days during the holiday against individuals carrying unlicensed weapons and arms smugglers, were carried out in 74 provinces!

As a result of the operations: A total of 707 weapons were seized, including 519 unlicensed pistols, 54 pistols converted from blank-firing guns, 6 long-barreled rifles, and 128 unlicensed hunting rifles. Legal action was taken against 869 suspects."
