A scuffle broke out when CHP members attempted to block Minister Yerlikaya from entering the hall. Minister Yerlikaya delivered his presentation during the tense Planning and Budget Committee meeting. Yerlikaya announced that 114 thousand 83 Syrians had voluntarily returned to their country this year alone.

Highlights from Minister Yerlikaya's statements are as follows:

"In the first 10 months of this year, 722 terrorists were neutralized in 40 thousand 521 operations we conducted in rural and urban areas.

This year, 35 high-level terrorists were neutralized. A total of 92 terrorist acts, 72 of which were bomb-related, were prevented.

Within this year, 168 thousand 998 individuals with outstanding arrest warrants were apprehended by our security forces. Of these, 27 thousand 697 were wanted for theft; 14 thousand 123 for fraud, 2 thousand 277 for terrorism, and 2 thousand 721 for intentional homicide.

We ensured the extradition of 124 individuals wanted with red notices to Turkey.

Within this year, as a result of 27 thousand 614 operations carried out regarding smuggling crimes, 641 individuals were arrested. A tax loss of 4 billion 209 million liras was prevented.

Following address verifications, the number of Syrians under temporary protection fell to 2 million 935 thousand 742.

It was determined that the addresses of 731 thousand 146 Syrians under temporary protection were not up to date. They were granted a 90-day period to update their addresses. During this period, notifications were sent via SMS in Turkish and Arabic. We have deactivated the foreign identity numbers of Syrians who did not update their addresses.

Since July 19, 2023, identity checks of 2 million 28 thousand 462 foreigners have been conducted in our Mobile Migration Point Vehicles. In these inquiries, 150 thousand 935 irregular migrants were identified.
