Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya attended the Security Meeting held in Kütahya.
Stating that Turkey continues its migration management under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with a humanitarian approach and a rational perspective, Yerlikaya said, "The number of our Syrian brothers and sisters who have returned to their countries in a dignified and safe manner to date has reached 450,169."
Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that Syrians who fled the oppression of the Assad regime in 2011 and took refuge in Turkey have always been supported.
Noting that voluntary return requests have increased following the developments after December 8, 2024, Yerlikaya stated, "Turkey has continued to stand by our Syrian brothers and sisters during this process, and it continues to do so."
