Minister Yerlikaya visits those involved in cable car tragedy

Minister Yerlikaya visits those involved in cable car tragedy

On April 12, a cable car pylon on the Sarısu-Tünektepe cable car line in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya collapsed and struck a cabin in motion.

As a result of the cabin being torn apart, lawyer Memiş Gümüş lost his life, and 17 people were injured.

174 people who were stranded in the cable car cabins, which came to a complete halt following the accident, were evacuated after efforts that lasted approximately 1 day.

VISIT FROM MINISTER YERLIKAYA

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya met with our Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir and the soldiers under the command of the Coast Guard Aviation Command who took part in the rescue operation.

"We came together with our Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir and our heroes under the command of the Coast Guard Aviation Command who served in the cable car accident in Antalya.
