Minister Yerlikaya: We are transitioning to a 4-group 12/36 system for police working hours
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, "We are transitioning to a 4-group 12/36 system for police working hours. The new work system will be implemented by the 10th or 11th month of next year."
Minister Yerlikaya spoke at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly duringthedeliberations on the 2025 activities and 2026 budgetproposal for the Ministry of Interior and its affiliatedinstitutions. He noted that in March 2025, theduty pointsystem will be implemented.was selectedstating that, Yerlikaya said, "With this practice in the Appointment and Relocation Regulation,the appointment system has become fair, transparent, and aligned with institutional needs.
Previously, yearly appointments based on spousal status and excuses were made twice, but now we have started making excuse-based appointments every month. Furthermore, in 2026, that is next year, the general appointment pmandatory second eastern service assignmentwill not be sent.
