Minister Yumaklı makes statement on Buca and Ödemiş fires
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Yumaklı: Forest fires in the Buca and Ödemiş districts of İzmir have been brought under control.
In a post on his social media account, Minister Yumaklı made a statement regarding the forest fires occurring across the country, saying, "The fires in Milas and Saruhanlı have been largely brought under control. Efforts to bring them completely under control are ongoing."

Sharing on his social media account, Minister Yumaklı stated the following:
"Today, we have fought against 10 major forest fires so far. As a result of the self-sacrificing struggle our heroes have put up against the flames:
Fires in İzmir / Buca, İzmir / Ödemiş, Bursa / Yenişehir, Eskişehir / Seyitgazi, Balıkesir / Savaştepe, Kahramanmaraş / Andırın, and Çanakkale / Çan have been BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL. COOLING EFFORTS ARE CONTINUING.
Regarding the ongoing fires; Muğla / Milas and Manisa / Saruhanlı have been LARGELY BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL. Efforts to bring them completely under control are ongoing.
Our teams made the first intervention at 16:30 to the fire that broke out at 16:19 in Hatay / Dörtyol. This fire was intervened with 2 aircraft, 8 helicopters, and ground units. Our intensive struggle from the ground will continue throughout the night to bring it under control.
We will continue our struggle for our #GreenHomeland with determination, day and night, without regard for the flames or difficult weather conditions."
