Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made statements regarding the forest fires.
In his statement, Minister Yumaklı said the following:
The first fire started outside the forest and spread to the forest. 24 citizens sought medical attention due to smoke inhalation.
18 people are still receiving treatment, and they are not in life-threatening condition.
4 people have been detained in connection with the fire. Our fight against 2 fires continues. The fire in the center is largely under control.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure also announced that "The Dardanelles Strait ship traffic has been opened in the north-south direction."
