Minister Yusuf Tekin Announces: A Moment of Silence for Martyrs to be Observed in Schools Tomorrow
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced that a one-minute moment of silence will be observed in all schools on the first day of the new academic year for the soldiers who were martyred in Tunceli.
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced that a one-minute moment of silence will be observed before the flag ceremony in all schools across 81 provinces tomorrow, when the new academic year begins, for the soldiers who were martyred as a result of an armored vehicle overturning while on duty in the Ovacık district of Tunceli, and for all martyrs.
In a post on his social media account, Tekin stated that he learned with deep sorrow the news of the martyrdom of the soldiers who lost their lives in a traffic accident that occurred while they were on duty in the Ovacık district of Tunceli this evening, and noted the following:
"As the Maarif family, with the aim of keeping the cherished memories of our children who fell on this pure homeland soil alive, showing our gratitude to our heroic martyrs, and equipping our students spiritually, physically, and mentally with the love of the homeland, we will observe a one-minute moment of silence before the flag ceremony on September 9, the first day of the 2024-2025 academic year, in all our basic education and secondary education institutions affiliated with our Ministry in 81 provinces. May the souls of our dear martyrs rest in peace."
