Ministry decision on water meters: List notification obligation postponed!
The Ministry of Industry and Technology has postponed the obligation to submit lists of water meters in use to provincial directorates for periodic inspection until July 1, 2025.
The "Regulation on Amending the Regulation on the Inspection of Electricity, Water, and Gas Meters," prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has been published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
Accordingly, the obligation for users to submit lists of water meters in use to the provincial directorates of the Ministry of Industry and Technology between the beginning of January and the last day of February each year will not be applied until July 1, 2025.
The regulation covers water administrations, organized industrial zones/industrial zones, or the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works that use meters in their distribution networks, as well as owners of meters used for commercial purposes outside of these distribution networks.
