Ministry of Agriculture shares update on baby gorilla seized at airport
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shared a photo of the baby gorilla seized at Istanbul Airport with the caption, "Friends, don't worry, I'm doing well."
An endangered "gorilla gorilla" infant was seized at Istanbul Airport.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry posted on its X social media account regarding the endangered baby gorilla that was seized by the Ministry of Trade's Customs Enforcement teams at Istanbul Airport.
The post included a photo of the baby gorilla with the caption, "Friends, don't worry, I'm doing well."
The baby gorilla, which was being attempted to be transited through Turkey without documentation, was seized during an inspection by the Ministry of Trade's Customs Enforcement teams.
It was stated that the baby gorilla, which is being rehabilitated and cared for by National Parks personnel, is in improving health and will continue to be kept under observation.
