Ministry of Culture and Tourism issues condolence message for Volkan Konak
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has issued a condolence message for master artist Volkan Konak, who passed away after suffering a heart attack during a concert in the TRNC. The statement read, "We wish God's mercy upon Konak, who will live on in our memories with his works that touched hearts, and we extend our condolences to his family, his loved ones, and our arts community."
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has issued a condolence message for singer Volkan Konak, who passed away after suffering a heart attack during a concert he was giving in the TRNC.
Volkan Konak, one of the leading artists of Turkey and Black Sea music, fell ill and passed away during his concert at the Grand Sapphire Resort & Casino in Northern Cyprus, where he was performing as part of a holiday program.
The 58-year-old master artist, who was taken by ambulance to Gazimağusa State Hospital, lost his life at around 00:40.
The following statements were included in the post made on the Ministry's social media account:
"We have learned with deep sadness of the passing of Volkan Konak, the beloved artist of the Black Sea who made unforgettable contributions to Turkish music with his voice and interpretation. We wish God's mercy upon Konak, who will live on in our memories with his works that touched hearts, and we extend our condolences to his family, his loved ones, and our arts community."
