Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change files criminal complaint regarding unauthorized construction in Vaniköy
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has filed a criminal complaint regarding a structure located in the Bosphorus Fore-view Zone in the Vaniköy neighborhood of Istanbul's Üsküdar district.
In a statement from the Ministry, it was recalled that following an inspection by teams of a structure located in the Bosphorus Fore-view Zone in the Vaniköy neighborhood of the Üsküdar district, the construction was halted by the Ministry upon the determination that the building permit could not be presented and that construction activities were continuing without a license.
The statement included the following:
"Two separate criminal complaints have been filed by our Ministry with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crimes of 'causing zoning pollution' and 'causing damage to Registered Protected Areas, Cultural and Natural Assets Required to be Protected, and Protected Areas' regarding the structure in question. The process is being followed meticulously. Respectfully announced to the public."
