In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following expressions were used: "The resolution adopted by the European Parliament, which contains baseless and irrational allegations against the heroic Turkish Armed Forces, is null and void.
We fully support the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus regarding the resolution.
The resolution in question, which contains vile slanders, constitutes the latest example of the biased and distorted approach adopted by the European Union, and specifically the European Parliament, under the influence of certain circles regarding the Cyprus issue.
We find it concerning that European Union institutions are adopting an approach that is increasingly distancing itself from historical realities and impartiality regarding the Cyprus issue."
