Ministry of National Defense: 1 soldier martyred in Ağrı
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that 1 soldier who was injured in an accident in Ağrı has succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and has been martyred.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense, it was stated: "Our heroic comrade-in-arms, Transportation Specialist Sergeant Selman Akarsel, who was severely injured in the military vehicle accident that occurred on March 24, 2026, in Doğubayazıt, Ağrı, in which Martyr Infantry Specialist Sergeant Yusuf Açay was martyred, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital and has been martyred."
