Ministry of National Defense announces: 9 of our soldiers martyred, 4 soldiers wounded

In the clash that broke out with terrorists attempting to infiltrate one of our base areas in the Claw-Lock Operation region on January 12, 2024, five of our heroic comrades-in-arms were martyred, and eight of our heroic comrades-in-arms were wounded, three of them seriously. Our wounded have been transferred to the hospital and their treatment has begun.

According to initial determinations in the contact, 12 terrorists have been neutralized. Operations in the region are continuing.

We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyrs who lost their lives in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to their grieving families, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation, and wish our wounded a speedy recovery.

NUMBER OF MARTYRS ROSE TO 6

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that one more soldier who was seriously wounded in the clash with terrorists in the Claw-Lock Operation region had been martyred, bringing the number of martyrs to 6.
