The statement from the Ministry of National Defense said: "Our heroic comrade-in-arms, Specialist Sergeant Eren Kızıldağ, who was severely wounded as a result of harassment fire opened by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Operation Claw-Lock region on November 16, 2024, and who was continuing his treatment at Gülhane Training and Research Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and died on December 2, 2024. We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."
