The Ministry of National Defense has announced that Infantry Specialist Sergeant Hüseyin Günay has been martyred after suffering a heart attack while on duty.
In a condolence message published under the signature of Minister Yaşar Güler, it was stated: "Our heroic comrade-in-arms was martyred on September 17, 2025, as a result of a heart attack he suffered while on duty. On behalf of myself and the members of the Ministry of National Defense, I wish God's mercy upon our heroic martyr, and offer my condolences and patience to his grieving family and our noble nation."
