Mirgün Cabas' drug test comes back negative: 'Everyone now knows I use antidepressants'

Journalist and presenter Mirgün Cabas, who was released after being detained as part of a drug investigation targeting famous figures, has tested negative.

The tests performed on Cabas showed no evidence of drug use. It had been reported that actors Serenay Sarıkaya and Feyza Civelek, as well as singers Mabel Matiz and Tan Taşçı, were also detained as part of the investigation.

Following the test results, Cabas made a statement on his social media account, noting that the process had brought details about his private life into the public eye.

As a result of the tests conducted due to the investigation against me, everyone who was curious now knows that I do not use drugs, but that I do use antidepressants. I also don't know who this information will benefit.

Cabas stated that the investigation coincided with the period when his father passed away, describing the process he went through as the “most complicated period of my life.”

Thanking his family, children, friends, and those who supported him, Cabas said, “Everyone was so kind and understanding. Thank you.”
