Missiles launched, chaos in flights
Following Iran's air attack on Israel, flights by domestic and international airlines from Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports to Jordan, Iran, and Iraq were canceled today.
In addition, many airlines that changed the routes of their aircraft currently in transit to these countries directed their planes to land at Istanbul, Sabiha Gökçen, and surrounding airports.
It was learned that a large number of aircraft belonging to foreign airlines, which reached critical fuel levels due to the closure of airspace, were also diverted to Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports.

Due to the air attacks carried out by Iran against Israel and the subsequent closure of airspaces, disruptions are being experienced in Middle East flights by many domestic and international airlines.
Aircraft that were forced to circle in the air due to security issues and reached critical fuel levels are being diverted primarily to Istanbul Airport, as well as to Antalya and Ankara.
20 aircraft scheduled to perform flights to the Middle East were forced to land at Istanbul Airport.
