Missing 17-year-old Esma found
A 17-year-old girl who had been missing for 11 days in Samsun has been found.
According to the information obtained, 17-year-old Esma Yığman, who lived with her family in the rural neighborhood of Küpecik in the Ladik district, left her home on the night of April 16 and went missing. Concerned for their daughter's life, her family requested help from the gendarmerie and filed a missing person report.
The gendarmerie and police mobilized to find Esma. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Esma was seen at the Samsun Bus Terminal one day after she went missing. Following her trail, the gendarmerie and police later determined she was last seen on the Merzifon-Çorum highway in the Merzifon district of Amasya and consulted eyewitnesses.
Her father, Seydahmet Yığman, traveled back and forth between Ankara, Çorum, and Samsun to find his daughter.
The distressed family stated that their daughter looks younger than her age and pleaded for her to be found before any harm came to her.
The missing Esma was found in a house in the Küpecik neighborhood whose owners were out of town. It was learned that the girl had been hiding in the house, knowing no one was there, and was found exhausted from hunger when the homeowners returned to their house last night. Taken to Ladik State Hospital by her family, Esma Yığman was later transferred to Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
It was learned that Esma Yığman, who received necessary treatment at the hospital in Samsun and is in good health, was discharged today. The Yığman family experienced great joy upon their daughter being found.
