According to information obtained from security sources, his American counterpart Burns called MIT Chief Kalın during the holiday to request that he act as a mediator regarding allegations of an Iranian attack on Israel.
Kalın also exchanged views with Burns regarding ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
Following his meeting with his American counterpart, Kalın also held a meeting with Hamas.
