MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın met with Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Hamas Political Bureau's negotiation team, and the accompanying Hamas delegation in Ankara.
The meeting addressed the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza and the persistent humanitarian crisis. The settler violence in the West Bank and the restrictions imposed on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem were also discussed.
It was emphasized that Israel must be ensured to fulfill its obligations arising from the first phase of the Gaza Peace Plan.
Furthermore, detailed assessments were made regarding the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza Peace Plan.
The Hamas delegation also conveyed their gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the efforts Turkey has shown to date to ensure peace in Gaza.
