MIT Chief Kalın meets with Hamas delegation in Istanbul
National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın met with Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Hamas Political Bureau's negotiation delegation, and his accompanying delegation in Istanbul.
According to information obtained from security sources, the meeting addressed the Gaza Peace Plan, which has now entered its second phase.
During the meeting, both delegations agreed to work in consultation on increasing humanitarian aid, opening the Rafah Border Crossing on both sides, the commencement of duties for the NCAG (National Committee for Gaza Administration), and other issues.
Furthermore, the Hamas delegation conveyed their gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for Turkey's mediation and guarantor efforts to date to ensure peace in Gaza, as well as for Turkey's prominent role in the second phase of the Gaza Peace Plan.
