MIT Chief Kalın meets with Hamas Political Bureau negotiation delegation
National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın met with Hamas Political Bureau Negotiation Delegation Head Khalil al-Hayya and his accompanying delegation in Istanbul.
During the meeting with MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın, the Hamas delegation expressed their gratitude for the role and efforts of Turkey, which acts as a mediator and guarantor, particularly President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and monitoring this process.
The Hamas delegation also reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire agreement despite violations committed by the Israeli side throughout the ceasefire process.
During the meeting, the two delegations discussed the necessary steps to be taken for the smooth operation of the ceasefire process and how to overcome existing problems. Consultations were also held on the paths to be followed regarding the implementation of the subsequent stages of the ceasefire plan.
In the meeting, where information was provided about the humanitarian aid Turkey has provided to Gaza and its efforts to end the humanitarian tragedy, the work being carried out with international organizations to ensure the entry of more aid was discussed.
