Moment of silence to be held in schools for Palestinian children

In a letter sent to the provinces signed by the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, it was recalled that a 3-day period of national mourning was declared in the country to share the pain of the Palestinian people due to those who lost their lives and were injured as a result of the attacks carried out by Israel against civilians, most recently the attack on a hospital on October 17.

1-MINUTE MOMENT OF SILENCE

Emphasizing that the new attacks launched by Israel against Palestine, particularly in Gaza, and the violence inflicted upon women, innocent children, and the wounded receiving treatment following the bombing of the hospital have wounded the conscience of all humanity, the letter stated the following:

"Ensuring the safety of all children and their families without discrimination based on race, religion, or political opinion, protecting their health and right to life, and taking measures against all forms of violence, persecution, and exploitation are among our fundamental humanitarian responsibilities."

The letter announced that a 1-minute moment of silence will be held during the flag ceremonies to be conducted tomorrow in primary and secondary education institutions for those who lost their lives in the attacks against the Palestinian people, especially children.
