'Money counting' footage investigation: Businessman Hüseyin Köksal gives statement

In the investigation regarding the money counting footage alleged to have been filmed at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, businessman Hüseyin Köksal gave a statement in the capacity of a "suspect."

The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the money counting footage, which was alleged to have been filmed at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters and shared on social media, is ongoing.

Businessman Hüseyin Köksal arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to provide a statement within the scope of this investigation.

Köksal, who went to the prosecutor's floor, left the courthouse after his statement was taken in the capacity of a "suspect."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation into the footage shared on some social media accounts with the note, "Footage of Fatih Keleş counting stacks of money at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters has emerged."

Within the scope of the investigation, statements were taken from IMM Sports Club President Fatih Keleş, former CHP Istanbul Provincial Vice President Özgür Nas, former CHP Istanbul Provincial Press Advisor Can Poyraz, Ali Rıza Braka, who sold the building housing the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters to the CHP, General Manager of İmamoğlu Construction Company Tuncay Yılmaz, and former CHP Istanbul Provincial President Canan Kaftancıoğlu.

In the investigation where Şişli Deputy Mayor Onur Öksel, who was identified in the footage in question, gave a statement as a "suspect" and the owner of the law firm Gökhan Taşkapan gave a statement as a "person with knowledge," Serkan Çebi, the son of Küçükçekmece Mayor Kemal Çebi, Melih Morsümbül, an advisor to Maltepe Mayor Ali Kılıç, Servet Yıldırım, the driver of businessman Hüseyin Köksal, Maltepe Mayor Ali Kılıç, Şişli Mayor Muammer Keskin, and Turgay Özcan had also previously given statements as suspects.
