Monthly detention review for the Polats completed. Court issues release decision

Journalist Emrullah Erdinç, who has been following the Polat case and regularly reporting on new developments, announced that the monthly detention review for the case has been completed and that a release decision has been issued for two individuals in the case.

Developments in the Dilan and Engin Polat case, which remains one of the major headlines on Turkey's agenda, are being followed by a wide audience. While claims regarding Dilan Polat's potential release were being debated until recently, the monthly detention review for the case has now been concluded.

Journalist Emrullah Erdinç, who follows the case and provides information about the process through his posts, stated in a post on his social media account, 'A release has come in the Polat file.'

Erdinç continued his post by saying the following:

"The monthly detention review for the Polats has been completed. The 4th Criminal Court of Peace decided to continue the detention of Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, Sezgin Polat, Ahmet Gün, and Alper Kürşat Polat. 

It was ruled that the detainees, including Sıla Doğu and Can Doğu, will be tried without arrest. 

The defendants, who have no other ongoing detention orders, will be released from prison."
