Motorcycle assassination in Istanbul: Hotel operator killed, friend wounded

The bloody ambush took place two days ago in the Karadolap neighborhood of Eyüpsultan at 22:50. Police received a report that two people had been subjected to an armed attack.

ONE DEAD, ONE CRITICALLY WOUNDED

Police arriving at the scene found two people wounded. The two individuals, identified as Hamza Yılmaz and Ferhat Tunç, were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Hamza Yılmaz, who was reported to be a hotel operator and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, could not be saved despite all interventions.

THEY WERE SUBJECTED TO A HAIL OF BULLETS

Following the incident, police conducted an investigation and uncovered the details of the attack. According to the information obtained and security camera footage, Hamza Yılmaz and his friend Ferhat Tunç were subjected to an armed attack while waiting inside a parked vehicle. One of the two people who got off the motorcycle with a weapon opened fire on those in the vehicle. Investigations revealed that Ferhat Tunç was struck by 6 bullets and Hamza Yılmaz by two.

LARGE-SCALE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

Following the incident, police launched a multi-faceted investigation. All connections of the two individuals who were attacked are being examined. Efforts to identify the attackers have been intensified.
