Move from Üsküdar Municipality regarding properties given to foundations for free by the AKP!
In the Üsküdar Municipality, which passed from the AKP to the CHP in the March 31 Local Elections, Mayor Sinem Dedetaş is reclaiming 25 properties that were given to foundations for free during the AKP era.
The cancellation of allocations made to NGOs, market support for retirees, and the Gezi Park protests were discussed at the Üsküdar Municipality council meeting.
The meeting, chaired by Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, was held in the council chamber.
Evaluating the cancellation of free property allocations made to certain associations and foundations, which were included in the 4th and 5th items of the council agenda, Mayor Sinem Dedetaş stated the following:
"Our goal is to use the resources of the people of Üsküdar correctly and to take every step in accordance with the law. The Court of Accounts' audit report specifically regarding our municipality contains findings on this issue.
"These findings state: 'The duration of cooperation protocols cannot exceed 30 years.' Here, 49-year cooperation protocols were made. These allocations must be cancelled and preparations for new cooperation protocols must be made."
Following Dedetaş's speech, the proposal by the Real Estate and Expropriation Directorate regarding cooperation protocols and allocation decisions made with various NGOs in the past period was accepted unanimously and sent to the commission.
The commission's decision is expected to be brought to the council and voted on Thursday.
