MP asks for forgiveness from Nureddin Nebati: Şimşek has ruined our household

Democrat Party Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Cemal Enginyurt continues to voice his reactions against Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.

In a video he recorded by the seaside recently, Enginyurt addressed Şimşek, asking, "The sun is beautiful, are you thinking of taxing it?" and, pointing to people fishing, added, "There is tax evasion here."

Enginyurt added a new post to his series targeting Şimşek. Sharing a photo of former Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati, Enginyurt reacted to Mehmet Şimşek with the words, "We couldn't understand the 'lightning' (şimşek) in your eyes. Şimşek has ruined our household. Forgive us, Nebati."

"ECONOMY IS THE SPARKLE IN THE EYES"

During his tenure as Treasury and Finance Minister, Nureddin Nebati had responded to a host's question about the economy during a live broadcast by saying, "Look into my eyes. What do you see? The economy is the sparkle in the eyes." Nebati's words had become a trending topic on social media.
