MP transfers continue: Future Party member to join AKP!
It has been reported that Future Party Konya MP Hasan Ekici will resign from his party and join the AKP. AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pin the party badge on Ekici at the party's group meeting.
The AKP has added a new name to its list of MP transfers.
FUTURE PARTY'S EKİCİ TO JOIN AKP
Speaking on the Taksim Meydanı program on TGRT Haber, journalist Gürkan Hacır stated that Future Party Konya MP Hasan Ekici will resign from his party and switch to the AKP.
Gürkan Hacır said, "Future Party Konya MP Hasan Ekici will join the AK Party tomorrow."
BADGE TO BE PINNED AT AKP GROUP MEETING
Ekici will officially join the AKP at the party's group meeting today. His badge will be pinned by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED HIS RESIGNATION
Ekici, who entered Parliament in the 2023 elections after being elected from the CHP's lists, announced his resignation from the Future Party in a statement on his X account.
Ekici stated the following:
"I am resigning from the Future Party's Party Executive Board (PYK) and my party membership, where I have served in various capacities since its establishment.
I would like to thank our Chairman, Prof. Dr. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, with whom we worked together during this process, and my fellow party members, and I wish them success in their future political endeavors.
Respectfully announced to the public."
