MSB: 'TCG Bozcaada patrol ship responds to distress call'
The Ministry of National Defense announced that the TCG Bozcaada patrol ship headed to the area following a distress call from a boat named Gökdeniz-01 and facilitated the transfer of one injured person.
In a post shared on the Ministry of National Defense's social media account, it was stated: "On duty in the Blue Homeland, by its nation's side under all conditions. The TCG Bozcaada patrol ship, while en route from Mersin to its operational area as part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon mission, headed to the region upon receiving a distress call from a boat named Gökdeniz-01.
The injured citizen received initial medical intervention on the TCG Bozcaada, and the citizen's transfer to the Coast Guard's TCSG-34 was successfully completed."
