Much-discussed 'Mansur Yavaş' claim from that name: He will definitely be a candidate
Public opinion researcher Mehmet Ali Kulat has claimed that Mansur Yavaş will definitely be a presidential candidate. Stating that there is significant public support for Yavaş, Kulat said that even if the CHP does not nominate him, Yavaş could collect 100,000 signatures and run as an independent candidate.
Public opinion researcher and owner of MAK Danışmanlık, Mehmet Ali Kulat, made striking remarks regarding the presidential candidacy debates within the opposition front, which have become one of the main agenda items in the political arena.
Speaking to TGRT Haber, Kulat brought up the presidential candidacy of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, stating, "I am saying this very clearly: Mansur Yavaş is a presidential candidate. I am not saying he is a 'prospective candidate'; he is definitely a candidate."
'THERE IS SERIOUS PUBLIC FAVOR TOWARD YAVAŞ'
Stating that even if the CHP does not nominate Mansur Yavaş, Yavaş could still enter the presidential race as an independent candidate by collecting 100,000 signatures from voters, Kulat noted that there is serious public favor toward Yavaş among citizens.
Kulat said, "What the result would be is another matter. Even if the CHP does not nominate him, he could collect 100,000 signatures and become a candidate. There is a clear public favor toward him." Kulat stated that the opposition is feeling confident in the presidential race, but that this confidence could be tested by various factors.
