Mud rain hits Istanbul!
Following warnings from the meteorological service, mud rain caused by dust clouds from Africa moving toward Turkey has affected Istanbul. The mud rain, which was effective in many districts, left layers of mud on vehicles.
Meteorology officials had previously issued a warning for Istanbul, stating that dust clouds from Africa would move toward Turkey and that the resulting precipitation would turn into mud rain.
The mud rain affected many districts of Istanbul. Due to the mud rain, mud residue formed on vehicles.
A citizen named Yunus Türk, who saw his vehicle covered in mud when he left his house, said, “We left our house this morning and this is the situation. This is the state of our vehicles. It is probably a dangerous situation. I don't know what the experts say, it might be harmful. We didn't leave, when we saw it was like this, we waited for it to stop and then we left. I hope there is no harm. We won't wash the car today, it will stay like this, there is nothing to do. Let it stay like this, we are driving around with African mud.”
Another citizen named Bünyamin Karaca said, “When we woke up this morning, it was obvious from the air. As you can see, the dust coming from Africa turned our vehicle into a dust cloud. It is also a problem for our patients suffering from shortness of breath; air pollution is already a problem in the world. You can see the general effect right now, our vehicles are exactly like this.”
