Muharrem İnce highlights the danger in police intervention against Tanal: 'No one's life or property is safe'

CHP Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal set up a tent in front of the Ministry of Justice building for students who were detained and arrested after participating in protests against the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu. 

Stating that he would wait in front of the Ministry of Justice for the release of the students, Tanal faced police intervention shortly after beginning his protest. 

Mahmut Tanal, whose tent was removed by the police and whose law books he had brought with him were confiscated, expressed his reaction to what he experienced.

One of those who reacted to this situation, which was reflected on screens, was Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce.

In a statement made on his social media account, İnce pointed to the danger in the police intervention applied to MP Tanal with the following words:

"The tent of Mahmut Tanal, who set up a tent in front of the Ministry of Justice for the release of our detained youth, cannot be removed. 

Mahmut Tanal is a member of parliament and has constitutional immunity. If the police can seize the tent and books of an MP who has immunity, then no one in this country has security of life or property!"
