Muharrem İnce issues statement on the officially closed Memleket Partisi: He addressed party members

İnce, who decided to close the Memleket Partisi, which he founded in May 2021, following a vote at the extraordinary congress held on July 21-22, made the following statements in a post on his social media account:

Dear Memleket Partisi members,

The Memleket Partisi, which we founded under extraordinary conditions and with limited resources, has decided to close following the congress held today.

I am not unaware of the heartache some of you may feel. You know better than anyone under what conditions and with what sacrifices we founded this party and how hard we struggled to keep it alive.

The greatest sacrifices were made by my young friends who wrote the banners, hung them on bridges, walked around with loudspeakers in their hands, and worked until the early hours of the morning. On my own behalf and on behalf of our country, no amount of thanks is enough for you.

Dear young people,

Our entire goal is to carry Atatürk's Turkey toward bright tomorrows. It is to keep the secular Republic of Turkey alive. It is to elevate our country above contemporary nations in science, technology, literature, and sports. We have not deviated from this goal in the slightest. Your efforts have never been in vain.

Please do not feel defeated or abandoned. The current political climate makes it necessary for us to come together and, by putting our minor differences aside, walk together shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart. The Republican People's Party (CHP) is a party that embraces all our rhetoric and claims.

The path may change, the traveler may change, but the goal does not! Muharrem İnce is a rankless soldier of this goal. Whoever is concerned with rank, let them leave us. Whoever believes in the goal, let them take our arm and walk with us. Our love for the homeland did not begin with the Memleket Partisi, and it will not end with it! Now is the time to strengthen the ranks of the CHP.

I love you all very much; I am glad you exist, and I am glad you became my companions on this journey!
