As of this morning, an access ban has been imposed on Instagram in Turkey.

In a statement made by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), it was stated that the platform was shut down on the grounds that it "did not comply with catalog crimes."

Homeland Party Chairman Muharrem İnce reacted to the access ban imposed on Instagram with a post on his X account.

Addressing AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, İnce said, "If you are very bored, close your own Instagram account, so that both you and we can be at ease."
