Muhittin Böcek hospitalized for the 18th time
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek has been hospitalized after falling ill in prison.
Böcek, who was arrested on July 5, 2025, as part of a bribery and corruption investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was transferred from Döşemealtı L-Type Prison to Antalya City Hospital after falling ill.
According to information shared by journalist Ali Taş on his social media account, Böcek, who has been hospitalized for the 18th time, developed an infection in his mouth due to extreme heat and humidity.
