Multiple arrest warrants in Paybull investigation: Companies also seized
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has taken new steps in the investigation regarding Paybull Elektronik Para ve Ödeme Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi and its executives. Operations were carried out in numerous provinces in line with findings obtained from the audit reports of the CBRT and analyses by MASAK.
A total of 25 suspects were detained in simultaneous operations conducted in Istanbul, Tekirdağ, Zonguldak, Ankara, İzmir, Balıkesir, Bitlis, Sinop, and Mersin. While search and seizure procedures were carried out at the addresses identified within the scope of the investigation, precautionary measures were also placed on certain assets deemed to have been acquired after the date of the alleged crime.
DECISION TO SEIZE COMPANIES
Action was also taken against Paybull AŞ and Lezzona Gıda AŞ. In accordance with the decision of the Istanbul 9th Criminal Court of Peace, both companies were seized and the scope of the investigation was expanded.
13 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, 6 PEOPLE UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
The 19 suspects whose procedures were completed were referred to the criminal court of peace with a request for arrest. The court ruled for the arrest of 13 people, while deciding to apply judicial control measures for 6 suspects. Additionally, 8 other suspects included in the investigation file were released directly under judicial control.
