Municipalities with the highest debt to the SSI have been identified

The total social security premium debt of municipalities to the Social Security Institution (SSI) has reached 150 billion liras.

According to information obtained from ministry sources, the top 5 municipalities with the highest premium debt to the SSI are all run by the CHP.

Accordingly, the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality became the municipality with the highest premium debt to the SSI, with 9.6 billion liras.

The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which ranks second on the list, has a debt of 8.4 billion liras. Ankara is followed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with 5.9 billion liras, the Adana Metropolitan Municipality with 4.2 billion liras, and the Şişli Municipality with 2.5 billion liras.

Mansur Yavaş had objected to the debt figure provided by Minister Işıkhan and made statements.

On the other hand, the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which is the first of the 5 municipalities with the highest premium debt to the SSI, has applied to pay its debts for two of its companies in installments of up to 36 months.
