Murat Çalık hospitalized again after his defense
It has been stated that Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık has been transferred to the hospital multiple times due to health problems experienced during his detention. After testifying in court yesterday, Çalık was readmitted to the hospital during the night.
Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, who has been in custody for approximately one year, continues to struggle with health issues following his arrest in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) investigation. Çalık, who was detained alongside Ekrem İmamoğlu during the latter's presidential candidacy process, had been transferred to the hospital many times during this period due to his health condition.
Yesterday, Murat Çalık, who appeared before a judge for the first time after a one-year hiatus, fell ill during the night after presenting his defense. According to the information received, he remained in the hospital for three hours following his defense. Çalık's lawyer, Cihan Ünal, pointed out that the conditions at the hospital were inadequate, noting that doctors had issued warnings such as "Do not even wash your hands."
