Murat Çalık's lawyer provides update on his condition

Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık underwent surgery this morning while his detention continues. Following the operation, his family and loved ones gathered in front of the hospital to closely follow the developments.

Çalık’s nephew and lawyer, Melih Koçhan, stated the following after the surgery: “It was a tense wait today. Around 09:30 in the morning, the area where the operation was to be performed was marked. A three-hour surgery took place. They said it went well. We have not yet received all the details from the doctors, but they indicated that the mass there was removed and that a pathology process will follow. Our hope is that the results will come back clear within the next 10-15 days.”

Koçhan also stated that 10 family members would be meeting with Murat Çalık today.
