Murat Kurum announces the latest situation regarding the earthquake

Turkey has once again faced the reality of earthquakes. 

As of 10:26, an earthquake occurred in the Kale district of Malatya.

AFAD announced that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.9. It was stated that the earthquake was also felt in surrounding provinces.

Following the earthquake, it was noted that education has been suspended, and it was stated that there was no loss of life or property.

Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum stated in a post on his social media account that work is continuing while on alert.

''I convey my best wishes to all our citizens due to the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Kale district of Malatya and was also felt in surrounding provinces. 

Incoming reports are being evaluated, and our teams are continuing their work in the field in all our provinces affected by the earthquake while on alert. 

We are monitoring the developments.''
